Constitution Island, a Story In Hiding

by MJE

What interesting information. I am a midwesterner who never has been to the northeast but who enjoys history. I do nor know why I never really heard about Constitution Island and am bewildered why I was never taught such dramatic and interesting information about the founding of America.

Has anyone been there? Is the area restored ? Is it worth a visit? Those who know about Constitution Island, is this data accurate? It just seems like a fascinating region full of history, drama.

Neat. Thanks. I have put Constitution Island on my radar screen for that future dream - to visit Boston and all possible places Northeast having to do with our founding fathers. God bless America.

Several times actually. My aunt and her husband are the resident care takers of the island. They tag bald eagles there. And i think it is definatly worth a visit. It is a peacful island with a beautiful garden near the house. There is a few informational plaques and an actual link of the chain that was across the river. I am so forunate to have the privlege to vacation there. It just has an amazing vibe to it, you know? like just thinking about the past it has had gives me chills. Well i hope you go someday :)
