You asked if what Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independence was from his heart.

Oh, my, yes.

Isn't that amazing? He starts out with the beliefs of the Patriots and follows that with the grievances that the colonies had against King George.

In my opinion, these are the greatest 56 words.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed . . .

Thanks for asking. Thomas Jefferson would be pleased. He was big into asking bold questions.
