Olde North Bridge - Concord, Massachusetts

Standing on the North Bridge in Concord, where it all began....once as a boy and later as an adult, knowing that it was right there that the outnumbered Massachusetts militia defeated the British army in the first battle of the Revolutionary War is really a great experience.

What might have happened if the minutemen had badly lost that first battle or if they were all killed? Would there be a United States of America today? I've heard that three quarters of the people didn't even want to go to war with Britain back then. If they were defeated at that bridge that day, who's to say how things would be different today.

Anyone that has an appreciation for American History should visit this area. It's every bit as interesting as the civil war areas of the south.

Also, fantastic job on your website. It's full of great information.
